A Spine-Tingling Trip to The Woman in Black

A Spine-Tingling Trip to The Woman in Black

Our A-Level English Literature students - joined by a group of enthusiastic Year 11s considering the subject for next year - visited Richmond Theatre for a gripping performance of The Woman in Black.

The play offered a fantastic opportunity for our A-Level students to deepen their understanding of the Gothic genre. As part of the course, they must demonstrate awareness of a wide range of Gothic texts, and seeing the conventions of the genre brought to life on stage was both valuable and memorable.

The production delivered plenty of scares, but also lots of excitement and discussion, with students leaving the theatre full of ideas to take back into their lessons.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended for their brilliant engagement and impeccable behaviour throughout the evening.
