Last term, our A-Level Psychology students got creative building models of sensory, relay, and motor neurons… using sweets! This hands-on activity was a delicious way to consolidate their understanding of neuron structures and how signals travel through the nervous system.

Last term, our Sports Leaders supported a Panathlon event for SEND primary school students across the borough. They showed incredible leadership, teamwork, and compassion, making sure every child felt included and encouraged.

As part of the First Give programme, our Year 9 students organised a fundraising event for Refuge, raising an impressive £180 to support survivors of domestic abuse. Their commitment and teamwork not only raised funds but also helped raise awareness of this important issue.

Year 10 Drama Trip to Arcadia at The Old Vic! Students started the day with a hands-on workshop led by the creative team. They then watched the performance, seeing their ideas come to life on stage and storytelling to support their GCSE Drama studies.

Our Year 9 students had an amazing day at Framestore, designing their own immersive experiences and presenting them to industry professionals. They gained valuable insight into creative digital careers while building confidence, teamwork, and presentation skills.

Well done to over 300 students who met the criteria for attendance, punctuality, and behaviour to join our Spring Reward Trip to Bowling and the Arcade! We had an amazing time watching students socialise and show off their trick shots. What a fantastic day!

Last week, our amazing students hosted a Charity Bake Sale in support of the Mental Health Foundation We’re proud to share that they raised an incredible £277! A huge well done to everyone — your efforts will make a real difference.
Last week, Year 7 students enjoyed a trip to @yourStMarys University in Twickenham, as they took part in the Readers Theatre programme for 6 weeks to boost confidence in public reading. Proud of our Year 7s for stepping out of their comfort zone!

Our Student Leadership team has been working hard to make Bolder Academy a calm and supportive environment. Students and parents can email safespace@bolderacademy.co.uk for confidential support, with regular mental health advice shared from this address throughout the year.
Last week, Bolder Academy was delighted to welcome a fantastic range of organisations to our Careers Fair. Their enthusiasm made a real impact and offering valuable advice about apprenticeships, university routes and future careers.
Our Year 7 students took part enthusiastically in enrichment activities like First Aid, Boxing, building confidence, resilience, teamwork, and essential life skills. Their positive attitude and engagement have been fantastic!

In February, four Sixth Form students visited the Chemistry Department at @JesusCollegecam , part of the @Cambridge_Uni, to compete in the Annual Chemistry Race. All students received participation certificates recognising their effort. Well done to our Sixth Form chemists!

Earlier this term, our Year 7 boys had a fantastic set of fixtures against Green School for Boys, with a 2-1 league comeback win followed by an impressive 6-1 friendly victory. A brilliant performance from every player, on and off the pitch!

Last month, Year 9 students visited the Rose Theatre Kingston to see the stage adaptation of The Boy at the Back of the Class, exploring themes of friendship, empathy and standing up for others. A fantastic learning experience!
