UKMT Intermediate Maths Challenge

Students in Year 9 and 10 recently took part in the UK Mathematics Trust (UKMT) Intermediate Maths Challenge, a national competition that stretches some of the country’s most able young mathematicians.

Far from a typical maths test, the Challenge focuses on problem- solving, reasoning and logical thinking. With just one hour to answer 25 demanding questions, students must apply their knowledge in creative and unfamiliar ways - making it a genuinely tough competition, even for strong mathematicians.

Competing against thousands of students nationwide, simply taking part is an achievement in itself. We are incredibly proud of our students for embracing the challenge with determination and for achieving such impressive results.

A special congratulations goes to Muna O (10M), who achieved an exceptional score and has qualified for the next round, the prestigious Pink Kangaroo, placing them among the highest- performing students nationally.
