Shakespeare on Stage

On Wednesday 4th February, we were excited to welcome The Globe Players into school for two fantastic live performances. Our Year 9 students enjoyed a dynamic and engaging performance of Romeo and Juliet, perfectly timed to support their current studies of the play, while our Year 11 students were treated to a powerful rendition of Macbeth as part of their GCSE revision.

Both performances brought Shakespeare’s language, characters, and themes vividly to life, helping students to deepen their understanding of the texts and see the plays as they were intended to be experienced: performed on stage.

It was a hugely successful day and a brilliant opportunity for students to engage with Shakespeare in a memorable and meaningful way. We look forward to welcoming the Globe Players back again in the future!
