Bolder Academy Competes in National Chemistry Race
On 7 February 2026, four Sixth Form students travelled to the Chemistry Department at Jesus College, University of Cambridge, to take part in the Annual Chemistry Race. This national competition brings together Sixth Form students from across the country to test their chemistry skills in a fast-paced and competitive environment.
The Chemistry Race challenges teams to answer a wide range of skill-based chemistry questions over a two-hour period. Rather than focusing purely on memorised knowledge, the competition rewards problem-solving, accuracy and speed, with teams earning more points the faster and more precisely they work.
Bolder Academy was represented by a team of four students: Year 13 students Deandre D and Amina H, alongside Year 12 students Raqib B and Jiss T. This marks the third year that Bolder Academy has proudly taken part in the event.
While the official results have not yet been published, all participating students were awarded a participation certificate from the University of Cambridge Chemistry Department, recognising their hard work and commitment.
Congratulations to our students for representing Bolder Academy so positively and for embracing this exciting academic challenge.
