Students Shine in Junior Maths Challenge

Students Shine in Junior Maths Challenge

We are incredibly proud of the 117 Year 7 and Year 8 students who recently took part in the Junior Maths Challenge.

This nationally recognised competition is designed to stretch even the most able young mathematicians, demanding deep reasoning, problem-solving, and resilience. In the lead-up, students spent a week in class preparing, developing strategies and building confidence to tackle unfamiliar problems. They then rose to the challenge with enthusiasm and determination, demonstrating exceptional mathematical thinking and curiosity. High-performing students can achieve Bronze, Silver or Gold certificates, with those in the top percentile nationally earning a place in the next round of the competition.

We look forward to hearing the results in the next few weeks.
