Year 9 Cornwall Residential

Our Cornwall residential was packed with exciting experiences from start to finish.

After travelling south, our first stop was the impressive Wookey Hole Caves, where students explored the fascinating underground cave system before continuing on to Penzance. Once we had settled into our accommodation, everyone enjoyed an evening walk and time on the beach.

The next day began with a boat trip to the iconic St Michael’s Mount. Pupils explored the island, taking in its history and stunning coastal views, before enjoying a well-earned Cornish ice cream. In the afternoon, we travelled to St Ives, where everyone had the opportunity to explore the town and spend time on the beach in the beautiful sunshine. The day ended with dinner and watching the football together.

Our final full day was spent at the Eden Project, where pupils explored both the Mediterranean and Rainforest Biomes, discovering a wide variety of plants and learning about different climates and ecosystems from around the world.

The residential provided a fantastic opportunity for pupils to experience some of Cornwall’s most famous landmarks, enjoy the outdoors and create lasting memories with their friends.
