Cricket Success for Year 9 & 10 Team
On Wednesday 4th June, the Year 9 and 10 cricket team began their Hounslow Schools League campaign with a strong 8-wicket win against Heston, played at Wycombe House Cricket Club.
Bolder bowled first in ideal conditions, with standout performances from Nehden F and the rest of the bowling attack, supported by excellent fielding. Heston were restricted to 54 runs. Captain and player of the match, Ojas D, led the chase with a composed 35 runs, guiding the team to victory with support from Yasser M.
Thank you to Wycombe House Cricket Club and House Cricket Academy for hosting and umpiring.
Congratulations to our Year 7 and 8 Borough Athletics Team
Congratulations to all the Year 7 and Year 8 students who proudly represented Bolder at the Borough Athletics Tournament earlier this June!
Competing under tough conditions - especially in the intense summer heat, our young athletes demonstrated incredible determination, resilience, and teamwork across a wide range of track and field events. Their energy, focus, and sportsmanship were truly inspiring.
We’re especially thrilled to announce that several of our students have qualified for the Middlesex Championships, an outstanding accomplishment that reflects their hard work and dedication.
Well done to every student who took part. You’ve shown what it means to be bold and have made our school community incredibly proud!
Rounders Season Off to a Strong Start!
The rounders season is underway—and what a start it’s been! With energy, enthusiasm, and a strong sense of team spirit, our players have already taken to the field for two exciting matches.
Their first game against Heathland was a challenging one, but the team showed impressive determination and teamwork throughout. Learning from that experience, the girls bounced back brilliantly in their second match, securing a well-earned victory over Nishkam.
We can’t wait to see how the team continues to grow in confidence and skill in the matches ahead. Keep it up, girls—you’re off to a fantastic start!
Congratulations to Our League Champions!
We are thrilled to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our football teams this year. Congratulations to the Junior Girls (Year 8/9) team, as well as the Year 8, Year 9, and Year 10 Boys teams for winning their respective leagues.
Let’s continue to support and cheer on our athletes as they strive for even greater success next year!
Well done, champions!
A small group of Year 8 and 9 girls got to take part in the DHL TogetHER on the pitch event in collaboration with Harlequins Rugby Club at The Stoop, Twickenham. Throughout the day students received workshops on mental resilience and nutrition whilst receiving coaching from some of their fantastic coaches and female players. After lunch the students got to run out of the tunnel on to the pitch (it took a while for us to agree on a song choice!!) for an afternoon of touch rugby. It was such an honour to be part of the day, meet some of the Harlequins female players alongside getting to play at The Stoop.
Year 12 and 13 Cricket Academy - Behind the scenes visit to Sky Sports studios for live Cricket broadcast
At the beginning of June, our Sixth Form Cricket Academy students had the incredible opportunity to visit the Sky Sports studios during the live broadcast of England’s One Day International series against the West Indies.
Students attended in small groups and were given exclusive all-access passes, allowing them to go behind the scenes and see how the Sky Sports production team works cohesively and at speed to deliver the high- quality broadcasts we enjoy.
The visits included observing live production in action across the main studio, sound studio, and replay studio. Students witnessed first-hand the exceptional levels of communication, teamwork, and concentration required to ensure every delivery and moment of action is captured from the best possible camera angles.
During each visit, a Cricket Director from Sky Sports guided the students through the production process in each area. They also had the unique opportunity to listen in on live communication between production staff and on-air talent, including elite broadcasters Ian Ward and Nasser Hussain, as they commentated throughout the match.
It was an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience for our students, and we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the Sky Sports staff for their time, hospitality, and generosity in making this visit so special for our Cricket Academy.
