Year 13 Spanish Students Experience Like Water for Chocolate at the Royal Ballet

Our Year 13 Spanish students recently had the incredible opportunity to attend a performance of Like Water for Chocolate at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden. This ballet adaptation brought to life the beloved novel by Laura Esquivel, which the students have been studying as part of their A Level course.

The trip was not only a cultural experience but also an academic one. Having studied the novel for the past month, students were thrilled to recognise key scenes and themes portrayed on stage, reinforcing their understanding of the text in a new and dynamic way.

Overall, it was a truly enriching experience that deepened both our appreciation for the story and the power of storytelling beyond the written word.
