Year 7

We are extremely proud of the progress and achievements our Year 7s have made so far this academic year, and we would like to take this opportunity to share some key highlights with you.

Students have participated enthusiastically in a range of enrichment activities, including First Aid and Boxing sessions, both of which have helped to build confidence, resilience, teamwork, and essential life skills. The engagement and positive attitude shown throughout these sessions has been commendable.

Attendance across the year group currently stands at an impressive 96%. This reflects a strong commitment to learning and routine, and we thank you for your continued support in ensuring students attend school regularly. While this is a fantastic achievement, we know that together we can aim even higher.

In addition, they have demonstrated exceptional commitment to completing work in the classroom, homework and various school tasks. As a result, the total number of house points has now surpassed 60,000, which is the highest in the school by a considerable margin. A special congratulations goes to 7P, who are currently leading the year group with an outstanding 11,888 house points so far. This reflects excellent behaviour, effort, and positive contributions across all aspects of school life.

We had the pleasure of celebrating the form groups with the highest number of achievement points from January at our reward breakfast. A huge congratulations to this half term's winners: 7C with 2,975 points.

We are incredibly proud of how well they have settled into Bolder and adapted to new routines, expectations, and challenges. They have made a fantastic start, and we are excited to see them continue to grow, develop, and achieve even more as the year progresses.

Thank you for your ongoing support. We look forward to working together to help our students continue striving for excellence.

Year 8

As we reach the end of the February half term, I would like to thank you for your continued support and share a short update.

We have had a very positive start to the term, with attendance increasing to an impressive 95.6%. Thank you for supporting us with this regular attendance makes a real difference to students’ progress and engagement in school.

Students have been working hard in lessons, showing good focus and commitment to their learning. We are really pleased with the positive attitude we are seeing across the year group.

We celebrated the reward breakfast on Tuesday 11th February, recognising the form group with the highest achievement points. Students gathered in the canteen for breakfast as recognition of their hard work and effort. 8M with an amazing 2,950 points.

We would also like to take this opportunity to highlight the importance of using Class Charts to support your child’s learning. The app allows parents to monitor attendance, achievement points, homework, and behaviour. We have noticed that some parents are not yet accessing the app please do not hesitate to get in touch if you need any assistance with logging in or using it.

A reminder that our Homework Club runs Monday to Friday from 3.10pm to 4.10pm. Students do not need to stay for the full hour and are welcome to drop in for support with homework, organisation, or independent study.

Thank you again for your ongoing support. I hope you and your family enjoy a restful half term break.

Year 9

Students have engaged enthusiastically in a range of enrichment opportunities and workshops, including the First Give programme, which saw them present to the year group in assembly on a charity that they were passionate about – with the chance to win a £1,000 for that charity! These experiences have helped develop teamwork, leadership, and social responsibility, and students have approached them with maturity and enthusiasm.

The year group has also shown a strong commitment to school life, accumulating over 43,000 house points through positive behaviour, effort, and engagement. This is a fantastic achievement and reflects the excellent attitudes demonstrated across the year group.

I would also like to thank parents and carers for the brilliant attendance at the Options Evening. Your support and engagement play a vital role in helping students make informed choices and continue to succeed.

Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you at Parents Evening on the 26th February.

Year 10

I am proud of the progress and positive attitude shown by our students so far, this academic year. It has been brilliant to see so many of them working hard as they embark on their GCSE journey.

Students have engaged well with their learning and wider school life, resulting in the accumulation of over 36,000 house points so far, this academic year. I am super confident that if we continue working as we are, we will be able to reach the 50,000 point mark before the end of the year!

Students continue to show growing maturity and responsibility as they prepare for the demands of their GCSE courses, and we are pleased with how they are rising to this challenge. We want to remind them that they need to start building good revision habits now, as the first set of mock exams will begin in June (during the summer term).

Thank you for your continued support.

Year 11

I am extremely proud of the commitment and resilience shown by students as they prepare for their GCSE examinations. With only a few months left before this summers GCSEs begin, it has been great to see so many of our students come back in January with great determination to learn and improve, following their November mocks.

They have demonstrated a strong work ethic across school, resulting in the accumulation of over 28,000 house points, which reflects positive behaviour, effort, and engagement. In addition, attendance at daily Booster sessions has been great, with some students even asking to join additional sessions! This level of commitment is commendable and is already having a positive impact on students’ confidence and progress.

As the exams get closer, it is vital that our students utilise the amazing academic support they have been offered and attend their booster sessions, engage with AIM13, as well as independently revising at home. We believe this year group have incredible potential and can’t wait to see the brilliant outcomes they achieve this summer.

Looking ahead to next term, they will have their second set of mocks when they return - please encourage them all to ensure they are using their time wisely during half term.

Thank you all for your incredible support.
