Head of Computing
We are seeking a dedicated Head of Computing who is a highly motivated and enthusiastic professional, an excellent classroom practitioner, and a proven leader. The successful candidate will have taught across all key stages and guided multiple cohorts through their examinations with success.
For the right applicant, a TLR for leading Digital Platforms may be considered, offering an exciting opportunity to shape and advance our school’s digital strategy alongside leading the Computing department.
Bolder Academy is a mixed, non-denominational school which opened in September 2018. Set up by primary and secondary Headteachers of the London Borough of Hounslow to meet the demand for extra school places, we are already part of the community.
Extraordinary partnerships have been formed with key local businesses such as Sky resulting in a ‘bold’ education: a traditional, highly academic curriculum combined with brilliant extra-curricular opportunities.

About the Role:
As Head of Computing, you will be responsible for leading the computing curriculum within the department.
You will work closely with staff and students to inspire enthusiasm for computing while ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
Skills and Qualifications:
- A strong interest in computing and technology education
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage resources effectively
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to motivate students and colleagues alike
- Willingness to develop leadership responsibilities within an educational setting
