The Smallpeice Trust partnered with McClaren to visit Bolder Academy to run a workshop with our Y9 students. The students had a fantastic day and Sidakbir S in 9D has written a short summary of the day.

Today was one of the best day ever! Team McLaren came to our school and gave us an insight into the wonderful career of engineering! We learnt how F1 cars are made including the importance of aerodynamics in a sports car. We use recyclable materials to make working cars in a given time. Furthermore, we made groups of six and assigned each other jobs like product manager, designer, bodywork specialist and many more. We learnt how to manage our time and communicating skills. I absolutely adored the prizes in the the end given to the team that came first. However, my team came second but it was still very fun. Thank you!
